2-0-1-2 – so many times I’ve typed those four numerals in recent weeks…
I would like to wish you a Happy New Year. I am exceedingly grateful to all of you who have stopped by this Walk the Towpath website and have read the blogs and purchased books from the Wayfarers trilogy. It is my prayer that as 2012 unfolds that this site and the book series will go viral.
I am exceedingly blessed to have been able to write this Wayfarers trilogy. It is not a boast or brag for this writer to say that The Wayfarers is an exciting, dramatic, action-packed, heart-wrenching, tear-jerking, laugh-inducing, and potentially life-changing tale that is eerily reminiscent of events that we as a nation and a world may encounter in this new year of 2012. I can say with all honesty that this book series has thus far not enriched me in the financial realm but has certainly brought spiritual riches. As I wrote each individual book, I too went on a trek; through familiar places that I was able to view in a new and different light. The characters that came into being hang with me like old friends and I love them all…well alright, not all of them!
God bless you as we embark upon a peregrination into 2012 that will be as none before – and it will require our boots and sneakers to be tied tightly! No, the world will not end but it will certainly change; and we all need to draw close to our children, spouses, family and friends. It is a time for rebuilding burned bridges; if the raw materials are accessible. As we head into the storm that brings light snow now but intensifying wind; we would be well-advised to let Jesus be our guide as this storm will become blinding in its fury and only He will have the visibility to navigate us through.
Please be safe, and have a Happy New Year!…Jim
And now abides faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love. ~ 1 Corinthians 13:13
